Well back again, strange the less I update the more hits I’m getting. Let’s kick off proceedings with some hot girls wearing Mario T-shirts.

What happens when you combine the “psychoactive ingredient in weed, and anadamide, the euphoria-causing chemical found in sea urchin eggs?” Find out right here.  Interestingly that research is carried out by a company called Organix Inc. and one of their patents is for ‘Water Soluble derivatives of cannabinoids.’ Cannabis aspirin anyone? Racing back through time the Antique Cannabis Book acts like a Wikipedia of cannabis, only more functional and better presented. Meanwhile at the university of Saskatchewan Dr Xia Zhang has found out that ‘marijuana appears to promote the development of new braincells in rats’. Change of pace, after the break.

I’m a big fan of Stumble and it is certainly involved in the overall success of Firefox. The browser itself recently released its 3rd incarnation, in its 3rd beta – I made the jump and its been excellent – Smart Bookmarks, streamlined organisation and improvements in feed functionality being the main plus points thus far.

This is Stumblecard #1:

What happens when a load of internet geeks get together? Well, this.

This is incidentally a photo of the the apparently global alliance to condemn Scientology – if the slogans are anything to go by with a mixture of Icanhazcheezburger talk and childish rhetoric normally related to Sparta/Star Wars it seems very likely that this ‘protest’ group will have a quick and unnoticed death.

I’d likely to briefly discuss some real revolution, that being the Mau Mau uprising in Kenya against British colonialism between 1952-56. We are told ‘Ritual oathing was a crucial component of Mau Mau participation, as they called on the old God – Ngai – to witness the oath that people would swear to be united in their fight against the colonial enemy, and would take back the land that the white man had stolen.’ Ngai is the high god of the Kikiyu, a Kenyan tribe which believe that ‘Thunder is the cracking of his joints, as a warrior limbering up for action.’ Certainly the fighters took after their spirutal leader with Jacob Njangi discussing the battles with the British:  “We would fight them even down to our last man, so that man could live in freedom.” Take an indepth look.
